Who we are...
Keely Velani was founded by Velani Mynhardt Witthoft and Keely Alexander McCammon. The two met while working at a credential evaluation and translation company, but it wasn't until the 2006 U.S. Open that Keely and Velani really got talking. Upon discovering that they were both former junior players, the game was on. Between sets they realized they had much more in common than a mad forehand and the love of all things Federer. 300 cups of coffee later, this is Seattle after all, Keely Velani LLC was formed. They invite you to join Davy Brown Discovers His Roots on facebook, to follow Author Events and hang with Davy and friends.
Velani
Velani grew up in South Africa where her entire family still lives. She graduated from the University of Pretoria in 1999 with two law degrees and practiced bankruptcy law until 2002 when she moved to New York City. In New York, she worked as a research analyst for a financial magazine on Wall Street. In 2004, she and her husband moved to Seattle where she is currently working in comparative international education assisting immigration attorneys.
Keely
Keely grew up in a small town in Western Montana and is the second of five children. She attended the University of Montana in Missoula, where she received degrees in English-Literature and German. She studied abroad in both Germany and Switzerland. Afterwards, Keely worked as an editorial intern for Bugle Magazine, an ESL instructor, and spent a summer at the Denver Publishing Institute. She now lives in Seattle with her husband and stepdaughter and edits/writes game scripts for a casual gaming company.
Numa
Numa means lion in the language of the great apes. He was born on March 28, 2005, and lives in Seattle with his mummy, Velani. He loves tuna and his favorite past time is hunting his stuffed animals, especially his stuffed Eyore. Numa is very territorial, but loves to purr. Currently, he serves as the Marketing Director of Keely Velani and insists Davy Brown Discovers His Roots was his idea.
